POSITION PROFILE
Provides advanced technical expertise in areas of networking, communications and enterprise applications.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides advanced technical IT Support.
Assists in resolving client problems by providing specific expertise.
Monitors systems and network status and take action to resolve problems.
Identifies problems and performs basic trouble-shooting activities on production servers.
Provides basic support of Network print queues.
Provides basic support of production servers.
Accepts escalated calls for complex problems, resolving problems using available resources.
Documents problems and fixes on production servers and ensures they are communicated to others.
Identifies other skills and/or resources required to solve problems - escalated as needed.
Provides back-up support for other IT support groups.
Participates in special projects as assigned by supervisor.
Comprehensive use of Remedy to track internal customer requests.
Helps to publish and maintain standards documentation.
Responsible for timely acknowledgement of tickets and resolving calls to meet SLO.
Keeps work log updated.
Responsible for resolution of calls to meet SLO.
Administration of User accounts and security throughout the enterprise.
Responsible for account administration and security throughout the enterprise.
Monitors operating performance and takes action to resolve problems.
Helps to publish and maintain standards documentation.
Develops and delivers training to IT staff.
Provides back-up support for supervisor or manager in their absence.
Assists Manager in driving standardization process and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
Requires technical degree, certification or equivalent experience.
Requires minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft operating systems.
Requires knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and knowledge of networking hardware and software, diagnosis, configuration and installations.
Requires comprehensive understanding of LAN/WAN network topology, knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, and network support experience and hands-on expertise in hardware/software.
Understands and utilizes problem escalation procedure
